Welcome to the Fall Cool Season Plant Reserve! This is your chance to extend your harvest and plant a garden that thrives long after summer winds down. Whether you're reserving transplants to plant on your own, or planning a Custom Planting Day for hands-on support, now's the time to secure your spot in this beautifully productive second season.
Why Fall Gardening is Worth It: Most gardeners stop here. They assume fall is the end of the season—but not you.
Fall is not a season to slow down—it's a season to pivot. While spring brings increasing light, fall brings decreasing daylight, and that shift matters. It means we grow differently. We plant faster-maturing crops, we harvest more intentionally, and we can even overwinter some varieties with the right timing.
And yes—it's still hot out now. But just like we plan our first cool season garden in February snow, we plant for fall while summer still blazes. By planting now, you'll be harvesting into the holidays (and maybe even early spring!).
What's Available This Fall
All transplants and soil blocks are available to everyone via pickup. Seed snails are exclusive to Custom Planting Day clients so we can guide timing and spacing more closely.
3.5" Pots (2 plants per pot): Purple of Sicily Cauliflower, Calabrese Broccoli, Di Cicco Broccoli, Red Russian Kale, Scarlet Kale, Toscano Kale
Soil Blocks: Dill, Cilantro, Spinach, Shanghai Green Bok Choy, Bok Choy, Purple Lady Bok Choy, Mizuna, Yedikule Lettuce, Prizehead Leaf Lettuce, Tatsoi, Arugula, Devil's Ear Lettuce, Landis Winter Lettuce (a must have for the Fall Garden)
Seed Snails (Custom Planting Day Clients Only): Ruby Queen Beets, Golden Beets, Carrots, Calendula, Pansies

Reservation + Scheduling Timeline
⚠️ Quantities are extremely limited this fall. Plants are reserved first come, first served, so the earlier you get your reservation in, the more likely I am to be able to guarantee your selections.
Reservations are OPEN NOW through August 31st.
Plant Pickups begin the week of August 18th–25th (exact date confirmed as plants finish establishing).
Custom Planting Days are available August 18th through September 11th.
Pickup only? You'll receive a $25 deposit invoice via QuickBooks after submitting your form. This deposit confirms your reservation and applies to your final total. No delivery available—pickup only.
Booking a Custom Planting Day? Schedule your date directly on the website scheduler and submit a $100 deposit at booking. This deposit covers both your Custom Planting Day and your plant reservation—no separate $25 charge.
Custom Planting Days = Full Fall Support
Cool season crops and spacing need to be timed right to beat the frost and make the most of every ounce of daylight. It can be tricky to know where to plant when you still have amazing tomatoes on your arch along with peppers, eggplant and other warm season plants throughout!
Booking a Custom Planting Day means:
We'll plant side by side, with exact spacing for your garden.
You'll get guidance on what to grow where, and why.
You'll have access to direct-sow seed snail varieties only offered through this service.
You'll move into fall confident, prepped, and set up to harvest big.
Custom Planting Day rate: $8–10 per square foot, includes plants, seeds, layout, spacing, and planting instruction.
